For 3 - 4 fruit skewers, use the quantities below. For more you can easily double up.
Ingredients
  • 2 bananas
  • 9 - 12 strawberries
  • 4 pineapple rings
  • 2 heaped tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey, natvia, sugar or other sweetening agent
Instructions
Sauce
  1. In a firesafe bowl, add the coconut oil, cacao powder, and sweetener
  2. Stir until all the sugar is dissolved and the sauce is well blended
  3. Remove from the heat and set aside to thicken
Skewers
  1. Slice the bananas and pineapple rings into bite sized chunks.
  2. Thread onto skewers, alternating with the strawberries
  3. Grill on the barbecue for two minutes, then turn and grill for another two minutes.
  4. (The strawberries will soften quickly, so lift them off gently)
  5. Drizzle the sauce over the grilled fruit, add cream or ice cream if you wish and enjoy!
